Working Programs
Employment Where Everyone Wins
At Lambs Farm, we believe that meaningful work is life changing. We help participants build confidence, gain independence, and earn wages by removing common employment barriers like lack of experience, transportation challenges, or the need for accommodations. Through skills assessments, hands-on training, and ongoing support, we prepare individuals for success in jobs that match their abilities and interests.
Participants may find employment in the community, within our on-campus retail businesses and departments, or at Lambs Industries, which offers a structured environment for those who need additional support. For those who are retiring or reducing their work hours, we provide engaging programs that keep them active and connected with their peers.
Expanding Opportunities
Lambs Farm is continuously evolving to create more pathways to employment. We are enhancing our services with a stronger focus on transferable skills and community outreach, ensuring participants are well-prepared for a variety of career opportunities.
Community Employment
For participants ready to work independently, our employment specialists provide on-the-job training and follow-along support. We analyze job tasks, create customized training plans, and offer ongoing assistance until employees feel confident in their roles. Participants work in a variety of industries, including customer service, food service, shipping & logistics, janitorial services, and assembly and packaging.
Campus Employment
We employ many of our participants in our very own businesses across the Farm, including our Cedar Chest Thrift Shop, Dogwood Garden & Pet Center, Farmyard, Greenhouse, Magnolia Café, and Sugar Maple Country Store & Bakery! Not only are we able to operate several great businesses for our community to enjoy, but they also offer great opportunities for our participant employees to continue to grow.
Supported Employment
For businesses seeking reliable staffing solutions, our Supported Employment Program places enclaves of two to eight workers, each with a dedicated job coach. The coach ensures smooth operations by training employees, analyzing tasks, and providing ongoing support. Our specialty areas include janitorial services, food service, manufacturing, and shipping and receiving.
