Social & Recreational Services
Lambs Farm believes that a fulfilling life includes time for relationships, sports and the development of hobbies and interests.
The Wellness Center provides Participants with opportunities to pursue healthy behaviors in three main ways: Healthy Lambs, Special Olympics and Recreation.
Healthy Lambs: This program is designed to meet the needs of anyone willing to exercise. This exercise could be cardiovascular, strength training or a healthy activity around the Farm or in the community.
Special Olympics: The ten Special Olympic sports are tremendously popular and offered year-round (Basketball, Softball, Snowshoeing, Swimming, Track & Field, Bowling, Motor Activity Training Program, Bocce Ball, Golf and Floor Hockey). Seasons often overlap with practices being help six days a week.
Recreation: Recreation is the core of Participants social well-being. A popular activity, Rec Nite Out, allows Participants to explore the community. From car shows and Major League Baseball games to seeing a show or setting an exercise goal, the Wellness department offers several programs that benefit the residents health and wellness.
