We are seeking a detailed oriented individual as our Payroll Administrator. This person must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization are required. Knowledge of excel is necessary. Previous payroll experience with Insperity/Timestar and ABRA are preferred. This is a full-time salaried position. Key responsibilities are:
Manages the payroll programs/processes, including the integration of time from the Insperity time system. This includes reconciling and balancing all payroll data prior to transmission to the bank
Verify and submit bi-weekly, quarterly, and year end taxes
Close out payroll for the year-end process and verify all information is up-to-date.
Provide assistance to supervisors and employees with questions or concerns.
Works with the Manager of Human Resources with all files, employee records, and other administrative functions with individual agencies as required.
Responsibilities include timely processing of acknowledgment letters, organizing and maintaining central files, participating as part of the Development team in events and special projects, and assisting with the database plus other administrative duties as assigned. Reports to the Director of Development. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with strong computer skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects at a time. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus. Should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
ASSISTANT MANAGER-FOOD PRODUCTION
We are seeking an individual to assist with the overall business and production operation of a retail and food production facility. Provide supervision to adults with developmental disabilities while producing high quality products. A High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 – 3 years’ experience in the food service industry is preferred. Must be familiar with food production, food safety and sanitation requirements, merchandising and good organizational skills. Knowledge of production procedures relating to chocolate, confectionery items, and jams/sauces is beneficial. Excellent management and production planning skills are required.
BAKERY/SUGAR MAPLE COUNTRY STORE BAKER
We are seeking a professional individual in a high volume production bakery to consistently produce high quality baked goods. Position requires the ability to work independently and provide supervision to adults with developmental disabilities. A High School diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years of food production and bakery experience is required. You must have or obtain a sanitation certificate and be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK
We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to ensure internal and external customers receive their orders in an accurate and timely manner. This position monitors merchandise arriving and leaving the warehouse and handles all corresponding paperwork. Candidate must ensure all products are packed and organized for safe shipment; there is a high volume of shipments during the holiday season. Responsible for cleaning, organizing and labeling products in the warehouse and maintaining inventory levels. Also responsible for weekly product deliveries to local retail stores. Provide training and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities. Requirements include: high School diploma, or equivalent, and at least two years of experience preferred in inventory control, purchasing and shipping; good customer service skills; must have a valid Illinois driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
P/T FARMYARD STAFF
The Farmyard department is looking for motivated, passionate individuals to join their team of dedicated Animal Keepers. Individuals must maintain high animal welfare standards and be physically able to work in all outdoor conditions. Previous animal care experience or education is a bonus but not required, a willingness to learn and retain information is a must. Individuals must be comfortable talking to the public about animals, answering phones, greeting guests and maintaining appropriate customer service. Animal Keeper duties include but are not limited to: cleaning, feeding, watering, and caring for the health of the over 300 animals that call the Farmyard home. Animal Keepers also operate and help maintain attractions, including but not limited to: miniature train, carousel and miniature golf course. Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk or stand for extended periods of time.
A dishwasher at Magnolia Cafe must be able to lift 50 pounds, do janitorial tasks, dish washing, and trash duties. All tasks as assigned.
We are seeking an individual that is experienced and has knowledge in housekeeping/janitorial cleaning tasks. You must be a self-starter with ability to follow directions. In addition, must be able to verbally communicate to and direct the activities of adults with developmental disabilities. You must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and must pass a criminal background check and drug screening. P/T hours Monday – Friday 7am-11am.
REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse; currently registered in the State of Illinois as an RN. Hours are evenings and negotiable, from 1-9p.m. (hours negotiable to working later if needed), and will include occasional weekends (varied hours) and some holiday hours. New nursing graduates are welcome to apply.
Lambs Farm is seeking an experienced individual to oversee group homes in the CLF program for people with developmental disabilities. Position responsibilities include supervision of direct support staff, staffing coverage, active treatment program planning, compliance with state, federal, local and agency standards and procedures. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in related human service field with 2-3 years of experience; or a high school diploma/GED with 3 or more years of related experience. DSP certification and supervisory experience is preferred, strong interpersonal and organizational skills plus verbal written and computer skills. You must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
DIRECT SUPPORT PERSON
We are seeking a caring individual to assist adults with developmental disabilities to achieve their personal goals and daily living skills. The ideal candidate should be creative, energetic, and a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. One to two years related experience preferred. DSP certification also preferred. Paid DSP certification training program is available (classes held Monday-Friday during normal business hours). You must show proof of a high school diploma or equivalent upon hire. You must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, pass a criminal background check, physical and drug screening. Part time and full time 2nd and 3rd shift positions that include working weekends available. Starting pay is $11/hour. Salary is higher with experience and DSP Certification.
LIVE-IN APARTMENT DIRECT SUPPORT PERSON
Rent apartment located in an on-grounds residential home, rent is $100 monthly. Must be employed with Lambs Farm, must be in the apartment from 10pm to 7am to facilitate any emergency situations, and work from 7am to 9am as a Direct Support Person – starting pay is at $11.00 for DSP. DSP Certification will be provided by Lambs Farm. Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record
The Vocational Manager is the key person responsible for the design and implementation of employment and day programs for persons with Intellectually Delayed Disabilities. Duties include assessment of skills, coordination of both necessary and preferred activities for individuals, and providing training to individuals on the caseload. A Bachelor’s degree in Education or Human Services is required along with at least one year of experience with the Intellectually Delayed population. Working knowledge or Microsoft Word and Excel are necessary. The individual hired for this position must be QIDP approved or able to complete the required training within 6 months of hire date. All needed training is provided by Lambs Farm. You must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Are you someone who is creative, energetic and a self-starter? If so, Lambs Farm needs people to provide services to seniors and retirees with Intellectual Disabilities. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. One year related working experience is required and DSP certification is a plus. You should have effective verbal, written and computer skills plus a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. This is a full time position.
The Job Coach provides work training to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate is energetic, a self-starter and physically able to train persons on job tasks. High School diploma or equivalent required. One year experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Job Coach will work either in Lambs Industries (sheltered workshop), or at community work sites and our Campus businesses. Hours are 7AM-3PM Mon-Fri.
